Price of the room even at the discounted conference rate was still quite pricey, but since I shared with a friend it was affordable.The heartbeat of every city lives in its downtown, and San Diego is no exception. Watching the bartender create the craft cocktails was fun. Old building I guess.įood and drink in the Notch 8 restaurant were both quite good. I found I wasted a huge amount of water with each shower. We had to continually adjust it and the response was slow so you had to stay away from the water for a few minutes each time an adjustment was made. It took over 5 minutes of runnign the water until it got hot, then in the middle of the shower it got scalding, every time we used the shower. They did refresh two bottles of tap water daily which were quite fine to drink, which was nice. ![]() Therefore it is useless for keeping your own things cold. The mini bar was a bit annoying as it is one of those that charge the room whenever you remove something whether or not you drink/eat it. The drawers were in the closet and though quite limited in number there were enough hangers to accomodate all our clothes. The bathroom was spacious enough for toilietries et,c for two female room mates. The charging outlets for devices have been updated and are on either side of the bedside table in addition to at the desk. The room was spacious, 2 double beds with a large bathroom. Stayed for 5 nights to attend a conference which was jointly at the Fairmont and the Hyatt kitty corner to the Fairmont.
